Thanks very much. Fixed in CVS. I don't propose to issue an urgent 
update, as this only affects cross-compiling, and presumably not that 
very much as it was working for me (I mean specifically that 
cross-compiling was working). I suspect this only fails where the target 
exeext is non-empty.

If I'm wrong and it's annoying someone, do say, and I can issue a new 
release quicker.
