I did the cherry picking myself (excluding the FPD stuff) on this hotfix0.5.1 branch based on release0.5.

You're right.

If you prefer I can create myself a 0.5.1 hotfix branch (based on
release0.5?) and commit there just 2 patches (one cumulative for the new
styling/layout and one for the rebranding) by just overwriting the UI
except for the FPD section.

Let me know if it seems reasonable.

You can merge the ui branch as it is (I've not pushed the per site level
customization section there), and it should fix the first issue.

Later tonight I could also push a rebranding patch to replace the black
