Summary: Leaving rental charge blank gives misleading error
message
Product: Koha
Version: 1.3.2
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Parameters
AssignedTo: address@hidden
ReportedBy: address@hidden
QAContact: address@hidden
In Item Types Admin, if I try to enter an item type with the "rental charge"
left blank (e.g., if my library does not rent its items, so I thought it is not
applicable), I get an error message "Loan length is not a number".
If I, at this point, erase the loan length out of puzzlement, I get two
identical error messages ("Loan length is not a number" twice).
Viewing the source reveals that the wrong error message is displayed if the
check for rental charge fails.
(Are these checks only performed by Javascript? Browsers do not necessarily have
Javascript support/enabled.)
