And you do correctly point out that there is no need to have someone run these 
things for you. Personally, I would run everything myself but I'm not 
advocating for or against a hosted solution. I am only pointing out that having 
someone else host & run your mailing list would not be SaaS, as had been 
claimed in this thread. See [1] starting at about minute 35 & continuing 
forward where they talked about email.
