Interesting, I use many full-desktop sites on my phone/tablets w/o issues. In fact I wrote my initial suggestion from my phone. Thanks for pointing this out, I suppose a big cut & paste is not as convenient as what you did later (save as.. + FTP).

We're looking at (mostly) plain text, so it doesn't matter.

Regarding Etherpad, Google Docs is based on it, FYI.

Google bought the original company, then closed the original service, then released the source code:
