I'll search that tutorial later this evening (I'm still at work now).However, it was a tutorial based on Debian 5 with postfix as MTA/MDA and dovecot as IMAP server.
The initial setup was quite easy and I got a working e-mail server in 10 to 15 minutes.
Then I passed nearly a month refining the configurations (adding Spamassassin, Amavis, CaCERT SSL certificates and daily mail backup over a NAS).
I've encountered bigger problems when I've upgraded to Debian 6 due to problems in their packages (problems with SASL authentication that they resolved after several updates).
No issue at all in the switch from Debian 6 to Debian 7.
