Hi Sylvain,
"nonprofit search engine" sounds like a search FOR non-profits either
used by or to find non-profits, at least on my first readings. Maybe
describe it as a "search engine non-profit"?
Please consider moving to a more software-freedom-friendly hosting
platform for the code, even if you continue mirroring at GitHub (which
makes sense given visibility there). I think the
https://www.gnu.org/software/repo-criteria.html doesn't have public
reports about repos yet, but GitLab.com is the one most like GitHub that
I am quite sure is at least a passing grade on the criteria.
Please consider AGPL instead of the pushover Apache license.
Best wishes on an ambitious but potentially valuable project. Myself and
others at Snowdrift.coop will be happy to talk to you about both the
common interest in healthy ethical governance of online platforms like
ours and about you getting funded via our system if all is going well on
your end by the time we finally get launched.
I won't be at LibrePlanet, but a couple other Snowdrift.coop folks will be.
Cheers,
Aaron Wolf
