The next question is whether the Pango interface on Windows really uses lilypond's CenturySchL font for computing metrics (and thus kerning values). Can you use strace on GNU/Linux and something similar on Windows (e.g. ProcessMonitor, cf. http://kohei.us/2010/06/25/strace-equivalent-for-windows/) to check that?
