OK IT IS NOW A SOUND PROBLEM

I can muddle though compiling the product although it is a nightmare.
I've done it 3 or 4 times.

I use ALSA does your product normally just work with it?
I get no sound.

also .... this is advise..
I would change the name of the ./configure switch from --enable-alsa if you
don't want people to be mislead.
whatever ..... things are sketchy even with the doc.

we have been using the H323 product for some time now with never a hitch.
I would think yours should work easier .... I'm not a newbie ..

Thanks.

Please send build error message. It is difficult to advice you if I have
not a good knowledge of your problem.
