Hi Dirk,

Verify your .linphonec file on each side
Verify your soundcard mixer settings, with aumix the letter "R" must be in
front of "Mic"
Verify your rights to read and write on /dev/dsp and /dev/mixer
Verify that you use the good ethernet card (eth0 or eth1)
Verify that you  send/receive sound on the ethernet on each side (gkrellm is 
enough for this job)
Use sipomatic ..
Use linphone/mediastreamer/test_mulaw
