I dug into my actual hardware using the tool 'inxi' (command inxi -m -xxx)

inxi is system information tool, you need proper memtest, not sysinfo, that will not be limited by system.
You want to use Memtest86+ [1]. It requires usb stick where you put it, and boot a computer from it.

synchronous unbuffered (unregistered) UDIMMs, so I presume that means no error correction capability.


These has nothing to do with error correction. ECC has. [2][3]
