I've been using the CVS version of mldonkey for about a month now, and
i'm very impressed by it. OF all the P2P clients i've tried, this one
seems to be the most consistent, fastest and generaly the most reliable.

until today.

after rebooting my box several times to install new hardware etc.
i noticed that the queue for downloads had suddenly become corrupted.
Every file in the queue now shows 0 bytes downloaded, i've had a look in
the temp directory, and sure enough all the files are still there.

i cant quite be certain what caused it to happen, as a few times i had
to reboot the box rather ungracefuly, to get arround some frame buffer
driver issues.

is there anyway i can recover these 'lost' files, or are they useless
without some metadata (i guess in one of the .ini files) that's probably
been lost?

some of the files in the queue, now no longer have sensible names
either. quite a few just look like the temp filenames, i'm assuming
again this is because the metadata has been corrupted/lost.

does mldonkey get upset when its shut down incorrectly? i.e. with a
'kill -whatever' that the init scripts use? or should it be resilient
to such things?

any help/pointers would be appreciated to any mechanisms i can employ to
recover the 'lost' data. ive tried the 'recover temp' and 'scan temp'
features, neither of which helped. i'm not too upset about the losses,
but i'd rather not see it happen too often.
