[Nss-mysql-users] Problem with libnss-mysql: can't find user/groups, which are in mysql

I have the trouble that chmod cannot use a user out of the mysql-database.
I am not sure, what the problem is.
Does anybody have a pointer.

Any complaints in the /var/log/auth.log were settled.

Has anybody any ideas, what can be the problem?

I use a debian Woody system.

Example:
chown matthias heimdatenbank.insert.2004.3.1.sql
chown: `matthias': invalid user

I have also the log of the mysqlcommands. it is interesting that it never 
queries for the uid of the user.
