Details:

I have installed Octave 4.4.1 on my machine, which is running Lubuntu 19.04. 
It's a 64-bit system.  I installed Octave via Lubuntu's software center
utility.

When trying to use the bin2dec function, I get the following result:

octave:1> bin2dec('011')
fatal: caught signal Segmentation fault -- stopping myself...
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I uninstalled and reinstalled Octave, and still get the same result.
