Follow-up Comment #16, bug #57399 (project octave):

According to some old archived documentation, the default options for Delaunay
used to be {'Qt','Qbb','Qc'}.

In Octave, they are {'Qt','Qbb','Qc', 'Qz'}.

One could try passing the smaller option set to delaunay() and see if that
made a difference.

Otherwise, it may be a difference in the post-processing in griddata done for
the "linear" method.
