Follow-up Comment #14, bug #57435 (project octave):

Do the gdb macros not work or were they simply not loaded?  The gdbinit file
needs to be in the directory from which you start gdb.  Alternatively, you can
use "source .gdbinit" from within the debugger to load any set off commands.
