Follow-up Comment #9, bug #57486 (project octave):

I think there are gray areas and which category to use is sometimes up for
debate.  For example, if Octave's griddata function has never accepted 3D
inputs, then I would probably say that it's a missing feature rather than a
compatibility issue.  OTOH, if Octave accepts 3D inputs and does something
that makes sense but is different from Matlab, then it would be a
compatibility issue.  If it accepts 3D inputs and does something obviously
wrong, then it would be incorrect result, unexpected error, or something else
depending on the nature of the failure.
