Follow-up Comment #28, bug #59173 (project octave): The re-ordering of linker flags to appear last definitely needs to happen. I also think that we are so late in the 6.1 release process that we probably just need to put in a temporary fix so that octfiles can be built. If that is what your three patches accomplish then I'm fine with them.
