Follow-up Comment #3:

No more feedback in about a week. But assuming this is the same issue that
came up a couple of times recently about the new Windows Terminal App. In that
case, I can confirm the issue.

This would likely disappear for the new cross-platform command window widget
that is currently still experimental.

For the time being, the work-around is to switch Windows to the "classic"
Console Host. See comment #1.
