Follow-up Comment #4, bug #64363 (project octave):
Thank you Philip for your debugging tips.
I see a different behavior between SUBST and NET SHARE. Windows shows a SUBST
drive as a local drive and the xlswrite is working as expected. A drive mapped
with NET SHARE is shows up as a network drive. I think this could explain the
different behavior.
I can not promise if I find time to test further, but I will try to.
