Gui mode will not start.

Error:  
    octave: GUI features missing or disabled in this build

I am installing octave 9 on macOS (intel) using homebrew.  Probably some path
or variable not right somewhere.  I see the QT6 folder in the homebrew cellar.
 Other than that, I do not know where to look or what to look for.
