Follow-up Comment #7, bug #66727 (group octave):

Ah so the whole thing is due to this change not having appeared in a new
windows package release yet.
ISTR that a similar change was already in a recent signal package release, so
that must have confused me. I figured that the latest windows package already
got the same fix.

I'll have a try with the windows pkg dev version.
