If I want to manually build a package, how do I do it? For example, entering /make octave/ will build pkg-config automatically. I want to be able to that manually since I must pass some configure options before building in order to compile it successfully.
What options? Why do you need to do that?If you need to change the way a package is built, change the rule for building it in the corresponding makefile fragment in the src directory. For build-pkg-config, that's src/build-pkg-config.mk.
