Follow-up Comment #8, patch #7857 (project octave):

Daniel, there's a bug currently in Mercurial where "hg export -o" appends
instead of overwrite:

For this reason, your patch does not apply since the file contains 4 different
commmits. I removed all commits except the first one and attach them here.

It is possible to put more than one commit in the same patch, but I don't
think this was your intention. The other commits seem unrelated.

Torsten, change your LANG environment variable. It's apparently set to
de_DE.UTF-8 or something like it. Change it to the name of an English locale
or to C for no locale.
