Follow-up Comment #35, patch #9440 (project octave):

Sure, please take a look at adding OpenJDK 8 if you want to.

Please also include some of my changes. I'm attaching a diff to your latest,
but I can also explain the highlights:

* delete cups from the manifest
* build ghostscript with --disable-cups
* build Octave with --disable-silent-rules for verbose logging
* no need to pass prefix=/app to Octave's make install
* run autoreconf with -fi -I m4 to force files to be updated and to silence
warning about the m4 directory

Also please run your file through "jq -M ." for proper formatting.
