Follow-up Comment #52, patch #9980 (project octave): Thanks Ketan for all the hard work. I think I'll download some random JSON files from the web to try fromJSON's robustness. I have no idea how to test toJSON other than recoding fromJSON's results and feeding them to the program that produced or used them. Probably around Xmas I'll start preparing for a new io release.
