?zkan, The patch will not work against the 1.0.2 source without some modifications to a specific file. I don't recall exactly which file it is, but unless you specifically need 1.0.2c to compile against your kernel, it would probably be much easier to patch against 1.0.1. I don't think that there are any other real benefits to 1.0.2 at the moment. (obeying the rule "update often"...)Is the attached patch (especially the first part) still relevant if I apply this to alsa-1.0.2c ? Thanks; ?zkan Sezer
First you need to get the patch file at: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/alsa/alsa-driver/pci/au88x0/au88x0.c?sortby=date&r1=text&tr1=1.4&r2=text&tr2=1.9&diff_format=u And apply it to 1.0.2c by: patch -p2 -R < "patch_file_name" You then can apply Manuel's stuff cleanly onto it. But then, you miss the stuff that I reported in my msg which I had asked. The file I attached in that msg. restores those missing diffs, but I needed to make sure about their validity.
