Well this does'nt work. If I select UTF-8 as the default charset for a
group, I can't display messages that do not have a charset value in
their content-type header (such as: Content-Type: text/plain;
charset=iso-8859-1). The body pane is empty, and Pan barfs on STDERR
with:
** (pan:18026): WARNING **: Invalid UTF8 string passed to
pango_layout_set_text()
