>First, kill the HTML (which I deleted). There's a reason PAN doesn't do
HTML -- security. Are you a spammer trying >to spread your junk mail, a
cracker trying to spread your malware, or simply an AOLamer newbie unaware
that your >mailing agent is doing HTML? Again, sorry to come across so
harshly, but that's the attitude may folks including >myself take to those
that post HTML. HTML offends me, but at least I'm honest enough to tell you
why and ask you to >quit using it.
>Pam? What's that? The cooking spray? <g> (OK, /that's the joke. <g>)
I'm assuming you mean PAN... However, I >don't run MSWormOS, so I can't help
with this question."
Thank you for your suggestions and constructive criticism; I didn't realize
that HTML was turned on in my email. I don't step outside the cupboard of MS
much anymore and have gotten used to using the defaults MS gives with their
programs. I have turned it off, or so I hope it is off. Part of the reason I
wanted to use a newsgroup for Pan was not to make the usual Newbie errors
that I have already fallen prey to.
Yes you are right. spelling & mind dysfunctional error. on my part. Pam must
be the kitchen god <g>, rather then the Pan of Greek(?) folklore.
Bob
I turned HTML off and the message bounced?? But here it is again, using a
reply you sent me. I hope it gets through.
Also, I used gmane.org as the server address. Is this correct, nothing seems
to happen wrt downloading anything however.
