If you haven't, please file these as feature requests on bugzilla.  The
first  may be easy or hard at this point, I'm not sure, but will almost
certainly be post 1.0 (target about August) unless it's very easy.  The
second will almost certainly introduce potential for additional bugs, as
well as (as you said) being quite complex, so it would be post 1.0 and
likely post 1.1, maybe even 2.0 material.  Charles recommends that you
file such long term requests in bugzilla, to prevent them from getting
lost.  I like the ideas myself so don't want them getting lost either, so
indeed, please file them on bugzilla.
