Is there any way to ignore a subthread—i.e., ignore all posts by a
certain author and all replies to such posts, while leaving the rest of
the thread intact?

By choosing "Plonk Author", rather than "Ignore Thread" you can achieve
much of what you wish. You'll need to set the subject and references
fields, as well as the author field.

Obviously, as soon as one of the fields changes, you'll have to rejig the
whole thing.

Hmm... that would do the trick, I guess, but isn't very useful as a general solution. Is there any way do do this automatically with the newer betas of Pan? If not, would anyone object to my making this a feature request? I don't think this is quite a duplicate of bug 108566 [1], as that bug doesn't
mention automatically ignoring based upon author.

Thanks for the reply, anyway!

"Of course I do... I just think about myself first."
