=8^) This will be a big help to those trying to package pan for use in
both gnome and non-gnome environments. The way things were handled was
going to be a big problem for distributions, and for admins compiling from
source for systems where both gnome and non-gnome X environments were run.

The way pan does it now avoids the additional dependency for gnome browser
pref support, and integrates better, with less complexity, in more
environments, now including MSWormOS, OS/X, KDE, AND GNOME, plus a custom
option.

I'd say a resoundingly good change, all in all! =8^)

BTW, in 0.109, the same technique is used to return GNKSA support for mail
replies, using built-in mailto: protocol handling on all above
environments, with custom choice support as well, reaffirming the
soundness of the choice. =8^)
