You're that out of disk space?  Ouch!

Presumably, you have something (else) that you can shift to a different 
partition temporarily, or to a thumb-drive, or /something/.

Or, if you're running disk quotes, maybe it's just the quota for your 
user that you hit, and you can change the quotes a bit.

If it's not raw partition/disk space and it's not quotas, it could be 
filesystem corruption.  Try an fsck.

Of course, that assumes it's not a simple permissions issue...
