Hi Steve, Chris, Christophe … I followed your discussion a bit and feel obligated to answer now. This since the integration of the ArduIMU was an assignment for Emilio and RenĂ© for their bachelor work at ZHAW. My goal is to get the 25 kg UAV called UMARS in the air
for the COST-UAS-Action. Emilio is my coworker now, integrating Paparazzi into UMARS. I asked him about the 15 Hz discussion. His Answer was that these 15 Hz were found to be good for the Maya test plane we have. We found it would work fine. Sure the frequency can be raised for better performance. Also with smaller more agile planes like the Funjet. I have posted a Video with the Maya Flying at:
