something deosn't add up, php's docs at
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.windows.apache2.php  state:

Apache 2.2.x Support:  Users of Apache 2.2.x may use the documentation
below except the appropriate DLL file is named php5apache2_2.dll and
it only exists as of PHP 5.2.0

so either you don't have apache 2.2, or you don't have php 5.1.  And
since php 5.2 isn't relased as stable yet, you shoold stay away from
apahce 2.2 unless you want to help fix it.
