I'd suggest reverting it unless you plan to use other glib2.10
features soon.
OK. I'll change it to gmalloc.
But I'm getting concerned at the gui's performance, and
g_slice is claimed to be magnetudes faster for allocating lots of
small objects, so I'll reserve the right to recent glib at a later
stage.
