Morgan,

Indeed, this is being a devil of a problem. Firstly, can you run with
verbosity set to 8? At that level, it will not trap even "benign" tracebacks,
as it is doing in this case.

Secondly, have you been redirecting the output using something like
"rdiff-backup ... > rdiff-backup.out" ? If so, you should redirect STDERR as
well, by doing "rdiff-backup ... > rdiff-backup.out 2>&1"
