Hi, I am Akhil Nair and I am a Masters student at Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research. I am applying of Google Summer of Code this year and found the projects under SILPA very interesting. I am an Open Source enthusiast and am experienced in Linux ,Python and various other Open Source technologies. I have also done a small project on presenting multiple ways in which Malayalam text can be generated and used in Latex. My grip on Malayalam is sound and hope that this will be helpful in contributing to SILPA projects now or in the future.
Planning on applying for the project -
"Integrating flask-webfonts extension with SILPA"
I use Django for web development and have used Flask only on one occasion but am confident that I can pick it up easily.
Currently setting up the development environment and will go through the module and run tests to get a much better understanding of the exact nature of the problem.
Would be grateful if the mentors could give their view on how this project should be undertaken.
