It was predictable, since I had differences myself for different
latex2html versions.

However, I'd be interested to see whther the diffs are in html or only
in the output. Could you please send me some diffs?

It is 
latex2html-2002.2.1-8.fc9.noarch

Indeed. And the same issue will happen with tex4ht, so this should be
fixed. I'll think about it.
