Hi (how should I call you? Is mobi fine?),
I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier and even more sorry that my answer will not
be very satisfying to you. I am not enough familiar with C++ to realize how
much complexity would be needed to handle the C++ constructs you want to add
so I cannot really give you my opinions. At least, such constructs should not
be available by default as one use case of tcc is to use it to quickly test
(like in a commit hook) if a code is correct. I know tcc accepts some (all?)
GNUism but C++ construct is too much I believe.
Also, given all the answers I've seen, I'm willing to believe that the
required change would be to big. Besides, I'm not sure many people besides you
would be interested in such a feature. So I think it's preferable if you keep
it as a fork. If it turns out to be too difficult to maintain on the long term,
we could maybe consider some kind of plugin mechanism so that your code would
be a plugin enhancing tcc.
