If you accidentally press C-c C-d, in the worst case you can type "x"
to exit vm without saving changes, and your deleted attachments will
be unharmed.
You can also change the keybinding for deleting attachments, but I
imagine you've already thought of that. :-)
I've actually never used either of these keybindings. I move the point
(cursor) onto a desired attachment and type $w to save it. Or I save
the message to a disk file and run /usr/bin/munpack. :-) These
alternatives are more labor, but I don't often save multiple
attachments from a message.
