Your SDL is actually fine. Adonthell can run with SDL 1.3 or 1.2. It
checks for 1.3 first and if not found falls back to 1.2. Since SDL 1.3
is still very much work in progress, it's actually better to stick
with 1.2 for now.

Are you missing a python2.6-dev package perhaps?


And finally about glog/gtest/gmock. None of those are strictly
required. Not having the first one means you only get logging to the
console and not into a logfile. The other two are required to run the
unit tests, which shouldn't be of much interest to you.
