In-line :-

Ok cool.

fixed. Perhaps you need to add also to the Development Matrix. Its not there.

http://adonthell.berlios.de/doc/index.php/Development:Dependency_Matrix

You have given python2.5-dev which is at [6]

Ok cool. I am going to be trying using the GNU autotools way
exclusively to get it till its right.

Some more things.

address@hidden:/usr/local/src/adonthell$ ./autogen.sh
libtoolize: putting auxiliary files in AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR, `.'.
libtoolize: copying file `./ltmain.sh'
libtoolize: putting macros in AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR, `m4'.
libtoolize: copying file `m4/libtool.m4'
libtoolize: copying file `m4/ltoptions.m4'
libtoolize: copying file `m4/ltsugar.m4'
libtoolize: copying file `m4/ltversion.m4'
libtoolize: copying file `m4/lt~obsolete.m4'
test/Makefile.am:42: variable `dialogtest_SOURCES' is defined but no program or
test/Makefile.am:42: library has `dialogtest' as canonical name (possible typo)
test/Makefile.am:43: variable `dialogtest_LDADD' is defined but no program or
test/Makefile.am:43: library has `dialogtest' as canonical name (possible typo)

Now type './configure' to prepare Adonthell for compilation.
Afterwards, 'make' will build Adonthell.

Ok, see those Makefile stuff, don't know if its something that needs
fixing or its alright.

Then configure goes a little bit more.

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables libgtest_CFLAGS
and libgtest_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
