I have to agree. It was the font used before we had true type font support, and it wasn't too bad at the original resolution of 320x240 :-). Scaled up, it's not easy on the eyes ...

I'll give that a try as well. To tell the truth, I haven't found the perfect replacement yet. The previous font (http://fontgarden.com/fonts/1396/avatar.html) was quite unique, and I would love to find something that is similar, or in its own way unique. And under the open font license and in TTF format.
