I think we originally separated meta- from playlist not to confuse
"standard" users who don't want too much features. But I don't mind
putting it back.

I'm all for it.

I have thougt about it too. With such a feature, you wouldn't overwrite
your current playlist if you listen to a webradio for few minutes, for
instance.

OK for me, though I can usually C-x k myself.
