Hello David,

Quoting David Henningsson <address@hidden>:
Preliminary packaging for 1.1.0 is now available at
https://launchpad.net/~diwic/+archive/ppa

Great!

If we could wait a day or two before releasing 1.1.1 and let people
(that means YOU! :-) ) test this package it would be nice, and
hopefully decrease the possibility of more serious bugs.

Sounds good to me too. Are you aware of any convenient MIDI injection programs? It would be good to test all MIDI messages to make sure there aren't any other problems.

The package include the fixes in r264 (QSynth incompatibility) and r265
(man page fix, thanks Lintian!). I've also rewritten the rules file to
use CDBS and Quilt.

Josh, I noticed that r264 did not apply cleanly, it seems like the
changes to fluid_alsa.c were already applied in 1.1.0, but not in SVN
at the time of release, is that correct?

That does seem to be correct. Oops. That code is irrelevant as far as functionality is concerned though.

When doing a diff between r263 and 1.1.0, I also noticed that there are a bunch of missing files from the distribution. Here is a list:
bindings/
doc/fluidsynth-v11-devdoc.txt
doc/fluidsynth_arpeggio.c
doc/fluidsynth_fx.c
doc/fluidsynth_metronome.c
doc/fluidsynth_simple.c
doc/xtrafluid.txt

I'll add them as EXTRA_DIST.

Also I noticed that the shlibdeps warnings were still present. I
thought we added "as-needed" just to avoid them?

Hmm, I haven't seen these and don't recall this particular issue. What do the warnings look like?
