lout 3.21 core dumps when requesting PDF output

Running lout version 3.21 under IRIX, I find that, while I can produce
plain text and PostScript output, lout core dumps if PDF output is
requested.
troy 2% lout -Z < test.lout > test.pdf
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
troy 3% gdb -directory /usr/tmp/lout-3.21 `which lout` core
