I use it both to write letters (writing lout code directly with an
editor), and as rendering engine to produce my wife pay slips (data text
files -> Perl script calculating pay and generating lout code -> Lout ->
Postcript -> paper) at home on my <bragging>64bits Alpha on
Debian</bragging>. Before lout I used LaTeX to do that, but I find Lout
more light, more flexible, and more understandable.
At work all my writs are now in HTML.
