I'm a teacher and I use Lout since a few to prepare my course. For my own, I
write raw lout documents with an editor. I use mostly the math and book
package.

I still use MS WORD because at my work it is the "standard" word processor.
As others have said, it would be nice if the PDF back end could be improved.
It would be nice, as well, if a HTML backend or a filter lout2html could be
developped though some said it is worth use sgml / xml processors for such
an application.
