I would vote for a more modular Lynx.  Separating the network access from
the protocol from the renderer would be a start.  Right now, I can do a
-source, but I have a small program that does just that, and quite well.
I can download a file, and tell Lynx to render it using file:.  There
should be a way of splitting Lynx apart so that the parts used minimal
interfacing and thus could be replaced with other programs.
